It’s been a while since I wrote something that’s totally off from being a virtual assistant; something much closer to my goals and happiness. But then if you do have your hands full and want to stay productive as a virtual assistant or online worker, sweet stuff such as this website, my online friends and recent discoveries often take a seat further back. And so when I get to moments like this when I just feel like celebrating, I find myself in this situation: blogging about just me.
Anyways, I Googled my name today and here’s what I got.
Well, for most, it’s nothing to pop a champagne bottle about. But for me, it’s a heap of reasons to celebrate. True, me and what I do – and the people I work with – are not quite there yet. But guess what, we’re all so happy about where we are right now.
While I’m not specifically aiming to top search engines, blatantly I say it would help if I’d get ads in there somewhere. Like maybe a few months from now. Residual income, baby! Something that would let me buy tickets to Maldives. Or maybe a new laptop. Better yet, maybe finally get that 40” TV the kids have been begging for since forever. Who knows?
So just today, I feel so blessed and very much grateful for all the wonderful opportunities coming my way. And yes, for the Oh!SomeAngels, too. Everyone’s been kept busy, everyone’s happy. I get to write – content, copies, articles and whathaveyous – and learn while at that. As for the Oh!SomeAngels, they’re doing so good even with the additional workload for social media management, internet research and data entry. Whenever I sense someone’s losing grip, I make it a point to play the role of an older sister –push gently, listen and then talk, butt in some pointers here and there. Keep ‘em motivated, so to speak. And so close to a year with the Oh!SomeAngels, it’s a good online life – and what happens around it.
As I said, I’m not quite there yet when it comes to material or financial success. But if it’s just all about contentment, optimism and fun, it’s all here right now. Living up to my belief on what makes a successful VA career is something to pop ‘em champagne bottles tonight. But it’s not a Friday night and I’m dying for pasta and chicken. That should work 🙂
