What a journey it has been!
Since I got this site, it has gone through more changes than a year’s complete run of seasons and climates. While it was supposed to attract more clients for our small team of virtual assistants, it has evolved into something that surpassed its main objective. I should add, conveniently so.
After less than a month, all the Oh!SomeAngels are with healthy loads of regular work. Crossing my fingers now that it’s gonna get better and better for them. For me, I get gigs still and yet find time to post my stuff in here. Also, I’m crazy about finally getting the ebook for would-be virtual assistants.
So where does that put me and the Oh!SomeAngels?
In a busy position! LOL!
Nah, we’re good.
What about this website?
Well, it will fully be “a merry mix of information on virtual assistants…”
Meaning, those who want to know about what people like us do, cannot do, choose to do, live and love, learn and laugh… Whatever we strut and do as virtual assistants.
But mostly, this website will be a source of information for people who wanna be virtual assistants. What makes this different from other sites would be that the posts here are heart-felt thus personal. They are real day-to-day accounts, updates on the industry and relevant technologies and my take on them, stuff about how we get through and what wisdom we’ve acquired. Well, mostly mine, but I’ll share them still!
Why am I doing this?
Honestly, because the Oh!SomeAngels would love it that I leave them alone to wisely use their work hours. LOL!
Nah, I’m doing this because there will always be parents out there who want to stay at home and yet earn on the sides.
I’m compelled to do this because there’s more to life than draining your energies on work that could easily be delegated to others.
I’m doing this because there are people out there who want to pursue personal fulfillment with their passions. Or switch careers. Or want more time with their kids or loved ones. Gawd, I hope no one seeks this information because of recently acquired agoraphobia or something like that!
I’m desirous of doing this because it’s my way of returning the favor I’ve had from people who believed in me, opened the doors for me, paved way for the realization of my dreams or just gave me a second chance…
I’m going to do this because I want to share the REALITIES of being a virtual assistant and looking out for a team of people who provide online services.
In sum, it is my self-imposed social responsibility to help others learn about the world I move in. Not sure where that came from. But I really just want to write so others will learn and know.
I once heard that “to write is already to choose…” Well, I am confident I made a good choice. With this website, with the Oh!SomeAngels, with my passion and with this journey, I’m sure I made a good choice!
I still need help.
This had to get in here because at the moment, I’m NOT TAKING projects other than what we already have. Read: BUSINESS IS SLOW because I’m working on something really, really… cool.
I’m more than half-way with writing an eBook meant to teach moms and dads, or your friends or parents. Heck, maybe that bored woman in the next cubicle would benefit from it. Or your neighbor so he wouldn’t dwell too much on volunteering to do everything for you because he’s got “lotsa time and I’m bored” excuses.
It has become my goal to TRAIN people within my actual reach to earn online, become virtual assistants and somehow open their eyes to reality. Meaning, there’s “money” online for people who seek it. The ebook has a working title, “Your REAL Guide To Becoming A Virtual Assistant.” The working elf is just me, me and me.
So to everyone who believes that I can do this (read: childhood friends, former classmates, neighbors then and now, and relatives) and to all those who support my goals of producing the eBook and training materials, and finally training others and prepping them for this profitable career – or “sideline” – I am shamelessly begging for your donation.
If PayPal doesn’t work for you, please leave your comments, reactions and whatever in here.
Thanks, guys! I really appreciate your support, faith in me and the Oh!SomeAngels, and sweet luvin’!
P.S. I’ve just registered at Technocrati. Part of the process is to post this VNUBY4HFV24G in here. That way, they could verify my blog and account. Don’t worry, I patiently waited two days to perfect the process. When I realized it was so elementary, I laughed my ass off. Another “let-off-steam” even before the pot was in the oven. LOL!
